To create enthusiasm and passion amongst faculty members towards research and innovation
To establish good network with the stakeholders that eventually will result in new collaboration opportunity
To establish collaboration with other universities, public and private sectors and identify R & D projects including consultancy services which could be undertaken at the institution
To encourage cross-disciplinary research among departments within the faculty
To ensure smooth functioning and effective management of R & D at the university level
Formulation of policies relating to different R & D activities
Identification of potential for further research activity
To identify training needs to strengthen the R & D culture in faculty
To develop and maintain the Faculty’s Research and Development (R&D) strategies related to IP & Commercialization involving research programmes at Undergraduate and Postgraduate level
To drive the IP & Commercialization initiatives in order to meet Faculty ‘s R&D goals towards MyRA assessments.
